Job summary

SMX is seeking a Junior Federal Financial Business Analyst to join our client service delivery team. This role focuses on budgeting, planning, data analytics, and technology to support federal stakeholders and improve financial operations.

You will collaborate with designers, developers, and budget SMEs to deploy a best-in-class BAS solution on SAC, with limited travel and a Public Trust clearance requirement. The position is fully remote and aligned with DoD/healthcare mission needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, IS, data analytics, or related field.
• 3+ years in federal financial management, process analysis, data analytics, or consulting.
• Experience with federal government financial data and processes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Public Trust clearance or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex financial/operational data and support decision-making.
• Partner with government stakeholders to improve processes and data insights.
• Document requirements, create use cases, and support SDLC deliverables.
• Facilitate workshops and identify process improvement opportunities.
• Coordinate across teams to align business, data, and technology needs.
