Job summary

Kent, Campa and Kate Incorporated (KCK) is seeking a Mid Contract Closeout Specialist to support NIH closeout activities. The role currently follows a remote schedule with potential shift to in-office or hybrid work; located in Bethesda, MD, offering full-time hours at $37.00/hour.

Required are a Bachelor’s in Finance or Accounting and 3+ years of federal contracting closeout experience, plus PRISM knowledge and strong IT/Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required.
• Minimum three years in federal contracting/acquisition support.
• Experience with contract closeout processes and procedures.
• Knowledge of PRISM contract system and training completed.
• Proficiency with IT communications systems and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Collect and prepare materials for contract-related activities with NIH.
• Coordinate and respond to vendor inquiries for contract closeout.
• Interface with NIH staff and Contracting Officer’s Representative on questions.
• Train staff in PRISM and NIH IT programs.
• Ensure access to files and NIH contract specialists.
• Draft and issue contract expiration letters.
• Request missing/final documents from vendors.
• Audit contract files for complete closeout and desk audits.
• Learn NIH contract file structures and closeout workflows.
• Follow HHS Closeout guidelines and maintain documentation.
