Job summary

The SMX federal client service delivery team seeks a Federal Financial Business Analyst to advance the BAS solution for federal customers. This full-time, 100% remote role requires minimal travel (<20%) and a Public Trust clearance. Work with designers, developers, and budget SMEs to analyze data, enhance processes, and roll out a best-in-class budgeting solution on SAC.

Responsibilities span SDLC documentation, test planning, and stakeholder collaboration to deliver aligned financial and operational outcomes.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Public Administration, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in federal financial management, business process analysis, data analytics, or related areas.
Experience with federal government financial data and processes.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Public Trust clearance or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

Analyze complex financial and operational data to improve processes and support decision-making.
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify process improvement opportunities.
Create documentation across SDLC phases (RTM, FDD, design docs, end-user guides, training).
Develop test plans and business use cases, manage test execution.
Guide clients in adopting solutions that improve reporting and financial performance.
