Job summary

VectorUSA is seeking an Account Executive to drive federal sales opportunities across DoD, Intelligence Community, and Federal Civilian agencies. You will engage with customers nationwide, coordinate with pre/post-sales engineering, and push strategic initiatives through a multi-disciplined team.

You will build a scalable sales practice, manage opportunities end-to-end, and continuously expand your network with OEMs, VARs, and partner firms while pursuing growth in revenue and profit.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of federal market sales experience with a track record of selling advanced technology solutions.
• Alternatively, recent experience working in a technical capacity for the Federal Government (DoD, Intelligence, or Civilian agency).
• Excellent solution/consultative selling capability.
• Demonstrated sales and account development experience with growth in revenue and gross profit.
• Ability to balance multiple tasks with changing priorities.
• Attentive and responsive communication with customers and internal teams.
• Experience working with customer, departmental, and executive staff.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects.
• Proactive organization and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Meeting with clients to discuss business requirements, challenges, and objectives and uncover sales opportunities.
• Structuring deals with Sales Engineers and Solutions Architects to position and win.
• Market research and prospecting to generate new opportunities from the portfolio or new accounts.
• Networking and building a brand within the industry community with OEMs and VARs.
• Continual education in sales, industry, and OEM-specific training.
• Sales reporting and maintenance of the sales pipeline.
• Collaborating with engineering, project management, and post-sales teams.
