Zen Sherpa LLC is seeking a seasoned FEA Analyst to support advanced engineering simulations for heavy equipment and high-capacity structures. You will analyze structural mechanics, lead design efforts, and contribute to state‑of‑the‑art engineering initiatives across diverse industries from a fully remote location in the USA.

You will perform simulations, develop models, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with field teams.

Qualifications

• BSME 10+ years or MSME with 5+ years hands-on FEA experience.
• - 10+ years mechanical engineering experience in cranes or heavy equipment.
• - Strong background in structural mechanics and weldments.
• - Proficiency in SolidWorks, Inventor, or Creo.
• - US citizen or Green Card holder.
• - Ability to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Perform FEA simulations (linear, nonlinear, contact, buckling, fatigue).
• Analyze crane structures, lifting beams, heavy systems.
• Develop 3D models and drawings in SolidWorks, Inventor, or Creo.
• Conduct hand calculations to verify FEA results.
• Lead mechanical design from concept through prototype and field.
• Provide rapid engineering assessments to customers.
• Generate reports, test plans, and work packs for fabrication and field execution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and field staff.
• Mentor junior engineers and support design reviews.
