Job summary

Zen Sherpa LLC seeks an experienced FEA Analyst to support advanced engineering simulations for heavy equipment and high‑capacity structures. You will analyze structural mechanics, lead design efforts, and contribute to cutting‑edge programs across multiple industries.

The role is remote in the USA with up to 10% travel, requires strong ANSYS and SolidWorks proficiency, and a history of delivering well‑documented FEA reports and design packages.

Qualifications

• 10+ years overall mechanical engineering experience in cranes, lifting systems, or heavy equipment.
• Advanced FEA experience with ANSYS or equivalent; proven senior role.
• Strong background in weldments and heavy steel structures; able to produce documented analyses.

Responsibilities

• Perform FEA simulations (linear and nonlinear, contact, buckling, fatigue, large deflection).
• Analyze and validate crane structures, lifting beams, rigging components, and heavy systems.
• Lead mechanical design from concept to prototype, testing and field implementation.
• Develop 3D models and drawings in SolidWorks, Inventor, or Creo; generate reports and work packs.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with fabrication and field teams.
