Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a senior coding quality professional to ensure accurate and compliant professional and hospital coding practices. The role involves researching coding requirements, developing guidance, and supporting coding quality audits.

Qualified candidates will have AHIMA/AAPC credentials and 5+ years of hospital coding experience, including revenue cycle workflows, with the ability to work remotely in approved states.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of expert-level professional coding or hospital-based coding experience.
• Knowledge of ICD, CPT, HCPCS guidelines.
• Strong understanding of health information workflows and revenue cycle processes.

Responsibilities

• Research, interpret, and apply coding, payer, and regulatory requirements to support accurate and compliant Professional and Hospital coding practices.
• Develop, maintain, and update coding guidance, standard work, reference materials, and position statements for enterprise consistency.
• Coordinate and support coding quality audits and verify documentation completeness and accuracy.
