Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent education and experience required.
• Professional coding credentials (AHIMA or AAPC) such as RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCS-P, or CPC preferred.
• 5 years of expert-level professional/hospital-based coding and revenue cycle experience.
• Advanced knowledge of ICD, CPT, HCPCS coding guidelines and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Research, interpret, and apply coding, payer, and regulatory requirements to support accurate coding practices.
• Develop, maintain, and update coding guidance and reference materials for enterprise consistency.
• Coordinate coding quality audits and track findings, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
