Network Designs, Inc. (NDi) is seeking a Database Engineer to admin Oracle RAC and cloud PostgreSQL/Aurora environments underpinning FAA enterprise data, portals, analytics, and reporting services. The role supports the FAA CDO Enterprise Information & Data Integration program, requires U.S.

citizenship and ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance, and is remote within specified CONUS states. Responsibilities include ensuring database availability, performance, backups, patching, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, engineering, CS, or a related field.
• 4+ years of database administration/engineering experience in an enterprise environment.
• Ability to work with sensitive or regulated information per FAA/federal policies.

Responsibilities

• Administer Oracle RAC and cloud-based PostgreSQL/Aurora environments for FAA workloads.
• Maintain availability, performance, capacity, schemas, access controls, backups, recovery, patching, and high-availability configurations.
• Use RMAN and approved tooling to protect data and ensure recoverability in prod and non-prod.
• Monitor health, review logs, diagnose incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and tune SQL, storage, and configs.
• Support FAA data operations and migrations to cloud/NoSQL/SQL architectures.
• Maintain data dictionaries, runbooks, architecture artifacts, and security/compliance evidence.
• Participate in remediation, reviews, and continuous monitoring.
• Coordinate with developers, ETL, security, and product owners to preserve data integrity.
