Job summary

Peraton seeks a Database Administrator to support the DOS CAEIO program, focusing on Oracle RDBMS, SQL Server, and Postgres to ensure availability for consular services. The role emphasizes performance tuning, security, backups, and enterprise reporting across a global footprint.

The DBA will implement and optimize database systems, maintain security controls, and develop procedures while collaborating with cross‑functional teams. Remote with occasional DMV-area onsite visits is supported.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.
• 7+ years as an Oracle DBA or related area, including 5+ years on 11g/12c with RAC, Data Guard, and RMAN.
• Active SECRET clearance with ability to obtain TOP SECRET.
• Experience upgrading Oracle RDBMS to 19c and monitoring with OEM.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain Oracle RDBMS configurations and performance tuning.
• Administer Oracle RAC, Data Guard, RMAN, and security controls.
• Review designs, backups, and recovery procedures; enforce standards.
• Develop SQL, stored procedures, and reporting using OEM BI.
• Coordinate with global teams and support on-site/off-site meetings.
