Job summary

Travere Therapeutics is seeking an Executive Director of Corporate Development to lead the development and execution of the company’s growth strategy. The role emphasizes M&A, in-licensing, and strategic partnerships to access external innovation and expand the pipeline.

The position reports to the VP of Corporate Development and collaborates across Research, Clinical Development, Regulatory, Commercial, Finance and Legal to shape transaction strategies and deliver value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific, business or related discipline required; advanced degree such as MBA/PhD strongly preferred.
• 12-15+ years of experience in biotech/pharma with focus on corporate development or related field.
• Demonstrated experience leading and closing complex transactions in biopharma from evaluation through execution.
• Strong understanding of biopharma industry, including drug development, regulation, IP and development economics.
• Strong financial modeling and valuation capabilities, including rNPV/DCF analyses.

Responsibilities

• Lead evaluation and execution of strategic transactions (M&A, in-licensing, collaborations, partnerships, investments).
• Manage deal lifecycle from initial assessment to closing.
• Develop deal strategies and term sheets; negotiate definitive agreements.
• Coordinate cross-functional due diligence and present recommendations to senior leadership/Board.
• Mentor and grow the Corporate Development team; manage external relationships.
