Job summary

Sungrow is seeking an Engineer - ESS Technical Solutions to deliver technical design, proposals, and support across the full project lifecycle for ESS initiatives in the United States. The role requires close collaboration with sales, EPC partners, and HQ engineering, including on-site debugging and testing.

The candidate will interpret North American grid code requirements, assist with project execution, and act as a liaison among buyers, engineers, and vendors. Travel up to 50% is expected.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in the renewable industry.
• Experience in Product/System Engineering or similar roles.
• Knowledge of UL9540/A, NFPA, NEC, and local codes.
• Strong communication across functions and levels.

Responsibilities

• Analyze ESS project RFPs, intake forms, specs, and customer requests to determine technical delivery requirements.
• Generate technical proposals and provide complete technical solutions to customers.
• Coordinate with HQ and NA teams on BOS design, third-party studies, and EPC system design.
• Serve as technical liaison for Sales, customers, and internal teams to ensure alignment.
• Draft and refine technical specs and drawings as needed, and support in documentation portals.
