Job summary

Sungrow USA Corporation in Los Angeles, CA is seeking an Electrical Engineer - BESS to join the service engineering team in a hybrid/onsite role.

You will lead field service tasks, troubleshoot solar inverters and battery storage systems, interact with customers, and coordinate with R&D for technical documents and training. Travel up to 50% is required.

Effective problem solving, strong communication, and proficiency with MS Office are expected, and compensation aligns with experience.

Qualifications

4 years of experience in power electronics related companies as service engineer / R&D / product management or similar positions
Solar/battery industry experience preferred
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Self-starter with initiative and excellent communication
Knowledge of Modbus a plus, safety standards awareness

Responsibilities

Perform engineering assignments involving installation, operation, testing and maintenance of solar inverters and battery storage tech
Lead complex field engineering tasks and interact with customers to explain scope
Create and update field service procedures for troubleshooting and maintenance
Provide training to customers, vendors and internal staff as a virtual team member
Coordinate with R&D in China for technical docs and training
