Job summary

First American is seeking a Team Lead for Escrow to supervise Escrow Officers and Assistants, balance workload, and ensure timely closings across multiple states. This role combines hands-on production support with leadership responsibilities in a remote environment.

You will coach and develop staff, coordinate onboarding, and partner with underwriting, funding, and title production to uphold client service standards, risk controls, and efficiency in a fast-moving residential closing operation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of escrow, title, settlement, or related residential closing experience.
• Strong knowledge of title clearance, escrow, closing, funding, recording, post-closing workflows.
• Ability to coach, train, mentor, or provide work direction.
• Experience handling escalated, high-volume, multi-state transactions.
• Strong judgment, prioritization, and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication and client-service skills.
• Leadership experience with remote or cross-functional teams preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides daily supervision and first-line escalation for routine matters.
• Monitors workload and redistributes files to meet service levels.
• Supports complex multi-state transactions and overflow production.
• Coordinates schedules and onboarding, training, and staff development.
• Ensures client-specific procedures and internal controls are followed.
• Partners with Escrow Ops Manager on staffing and process improvements.
• Works with underwriting, title production, funding, and other teams; escalates risks.
