Job summary

First American is seeking a remote Escrow Assistant to support mortgage operations in the United States. The role handles disbursement ledgers, closing file preparation, and balance verification, collaborating with escrow officers and Title Agents.

The candidate should have a high school diploma, 1+ year escrow or banking experience, and strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and escrow software, including typing at least 40 WPM.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years Banking and/or Escrow Experience highly preferred.
• Intermediate level working knowledge of Microsoft Office and escrow software; typing 40 WPM.

Responsibilities

• Assist escrow branch operations with disbursement of escrow transactions by setting up a disbursement ledger with checks and wires; review supporting documents and input data from closing statements.
• Review and prepare closing files for disbursement once the file is closed; confirm file balances and disburse funds according to direction.
• Balance files that have closed and disburse the file; work with escrow officers and Title Agents to balance files.
• Respond promptly to customer needs; solicit customer feedback to improve service; meet commitments.
• Maintain professional writing and reading skills; interpret documents and plans; prioritize and manage workload.
