Job summary

First American is seeking an Escrow Assistant to support disbursement of escrow transactions and balance files. You will input data from closing statements, review supporting documents, and ensure accurate disbursements as directed by escrow officers and Title Agents.

The role requires basic accounting knowledge, accurate typing, and strong customer service skills. Hours may vary with a shift window; a remote work option may apply depending on business needs.

Qualifications

• 1+ years Banking and/or Escrow experience preferred
• Ability to type a minimum of 40 WPM
• Ability to read and interpret documents related to safety rules, operations and procedures
• Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally with customers and team members
• Strong numerical reasoning including percentages, fractions and basic algebra

Responsibilities

• Assist escrow branch operations with disbursement of escrow transactions and set up disbursement ledger
• Review and prepare closing files, balance files, and ensure funds disbursement per direction
• Collaborate with escrow officers and Title Agents to balance closed files and disburse funds
