Job summary

UnitedHealth Group’s Optum seeks an Epic Tapestry Claims Analyst to configure and optimize claims components, manage third‑party integrations, and support regulatory updates with accuracy. You’ll partner with Claims Operations, IT, and vendors to translate business needs into system configuration, handle incidents via ITSM, and ensure timely, compliant processing across the claims ecosystem.

Qualifications

Epic Tapestry Certification (Claims or related module).
3+ years supporting Epic Tapestry Claims configuration and/or claims processing.
3+ years managing or supporting third‑party integrated applications in a healthcare or payer environment.
3+ years experience in claims adjudication, benefit structures, provider contracts, and payer workflows.
3+ years experience with ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms for incident, problem, and change management.
3+ years experience analyzing complex data flows, troubleshoot integration issues, and interpret EDI transactions (e.g., 837, 835, 270/271).

Responsibilities

Configure, maintain, and optimize Epic Tapestry Claims components and workflows.
Analyze and troubleshoot claims processing issues; identify root causes.
Support upgrades, releases, and environment changes to keep configurations compliant.
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into system design.
