Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Five years of professional fee coding experience with at least three years in the assigned specialty.
• Seven+ years of related coding experience preferred.
• CPC or CCS-P credential required; related specialty coding credential preferred.
• E/M coding experience for the assigned specialty required; Epic/work queues experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and resolve coding edits in Epic WQs and related work queues.
• Review documentation to assign CPT/HCPCS/ICD-10 codes and modifiers.
• Understand Medicare Physician Fee Schedule and coding bundling guidelines.
• Communicate coding/denial trends to leadership and providers.
• Provide education/training on coding for department staff.
