Job summary

Intermountain Health in West Valley City, Utah, is seeking an experienced professional coder to accurately evaluate and resolve coding edits in Epic WQs. You will assign CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10 codes and modifiers, and review documentation to ensure correct coding and compliance while working in Epic and Microsoft Office tools.

The role requires 5+ years of professional coding experience, CPC or CCS-P credentials, and strong knowledge of E/M coding and Epic systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of pro fee coding experience with at least three (3) years within assigned specialty service line.
• Credential: CPC or CCS-P required; related specialty credential preferred.
• Requires E/M coding experience and Epic experience (preferred).
• Experience with Epic and working work queues is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and resolve coding edits in assigned Charge Review, Claim Edit, and Follow-up work queues in Epic.
• Review documentation and assign CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10 codes and modifiers.
• Comply with coding regulations and guidelines for the specialty area and assist leadership with communications, tip sheets, and workflows.
