Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an experienced medical coder to accurately evaluate and resolve coding edits in Epic work queues. You will assign CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10 codes and modifiers while reviewing documentation.

The role requires at least five years of professional fee coding experience, with three years in the assigned specialty, plus CPC or CCS-P credentials. Epic PB Resolute experience is preferred, and you will support education and quality assurance within the team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of five (5) years of professional fee coding experience.
• At least three (3) years within the assigned specialty service line.
• CPC or CCS-P credential required.
• Epic and PB Resolute experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately evaluate and resolve coding edits in assigned Epic work queues.
• Review medical record documentation and assign CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10 codes and modifiers.
• Understand Medicare Physician Fee Schedule and coding/bundling guidelines.
• Communicate coding/denial trends to leadership and providers via Epic in-basket messages.
• Perform quality assurance audits within the specialty team and ensure regulatory compliance.
