Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a full-time BI/Analytics Engineer to administer and optimize Epic Cogito-based BI platforms. You will monitor systems, enforce policies, and mentor analysts while coordinating security and upgrades. The role emphasizes healthcare data analytics and collaboration across time zones.

You’ll participate in architecture reviews, lead BI projects, and stay current with BI tools and Epic Cogito development. Fully remote with travel 1–2 times/yr.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field; Epic Cogito exposure required.
• Experience with Epic Cogito systems and BI tools.
• Knowledge of security configuration, monitoring, and auditing.

Responsibilities

• Configure, test, monitor, and maintain BI platforms and servers.
• Monitor BI tools to ensure performance and policy adherence.
• Train analysts and end users on BI/reporting tools and upgrades.
• Provide on-call support for BI/reporting systems and go-lives.
• Manage security access and simplify security configurations.
• Auditing analytics content lifecycle and retiring legacy items.
• Lead projects using standard tools and methodologies.
• Stay updated on healthcare analytics trends and EHR/BI tech.
• Mentor junior team members and share expertise in BI admin.
