Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an Applications Analyst to support Epic clinical and business systems. This full-time, remote role offers dayshift hours and the ability to work from multiple remote states, including North Carolina.

You will collaborate with users and leadership to modify procedures, document workflows, assist in testing and upgrading Epic modules, and ensure effective user support. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and about 1 year of relevant experience are

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent knowledge) in Computer Science or related field.
• Typically requires 1 year of experience in automated laboratory and/or business systems.
• Ability to translate user requirements into system specifications.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate technically and to business leaders.

Responsibilities

• Develop or modify procedures for Epic clinical and business applications due to workflow changes.
• Explain application functionalities to users and assist in using full features.
• Prepare input for requirements definitions including procedures, flowcharts and preliminary reports.
• Assist in testing and quality assurance, track problem reports.
• Document workflows, specifications, user manuals, and procedures.
• Coordinate testing, training, and upgrade communications with users and management.
• Maintain knowledge of clinical/business operations for Epic applications and scheduling upgrades.
