Job summary

SOLV Energy, LLC is seeking an EPC Project Manager responsible for planning, budgeting, scheduling, risk management and project controls on utility-scale solar projects. The role combines leadership and technical expertise to deliver projects safely and on time.

Responsibilities include coordinating labor crews, managing change orders, subcontracting, billings, cost forecasting, and reporting to senior management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or architecture.
• 5–8 years field construction management experience.
• Strong leadership in a remote environment and ability to organize a high-performing project team.
• Proficient in MS Office and Bluebeam Revu.
• Knowledge of contract law and project accounting.
• Understanding of scheduling, cost control, procurement and estimating.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and manage large scopes of self-performed work with very large labor crews.
• Plan sequencing, crew sizes, productivity goals, and monthly labor spend.
• Track results and refine forecasts to reflect actual production.
• Develop safety plans and implement safety procedures.
• Oversee project billings to maximize cash flow and reduce pay cycles.
• Prioritize collection of aged receivables and report status in owner meetings.
• Present and negotiate change orders with owner.
• Negotiate subcontract and material purchases.
• Set up job procedures for buyout, shop drawing approvals and material delivery.
• Keep project on schedule and report cost forecasts.
• Manage, train, and supervise project team; mentor for growth.
• Review contract conditions; ensure compliance with terms.
• Document significant project events; e.g., accidents, delays, change orders.
• Direct preconstruction services and activities.
• Negotiate and issue subcontract bid packages.
• Manage project risk and mitigation plans with team and management.
• Maintain Site-Specific Quality Management Plan and avoid claims.
