Job summary

SOLV Energy seeks an EPC Project Manager to oversee utility-scale solar projects from planning through close-out. You will lead cross-functional teams, manage budgets and schedules, and drive safety and quality on diverse job sites.

The role requires strong leadership, cost control, and extensive field experience. Travel up to 50% is expected; you will mentor junior staff, coordinate with owners and subcontractors, and ensure adherence to contract terms.

Qualifications

• Engineering, Construction Management or Architectural Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 5-8 years field construction management experience, including supervisory roles.
• Strong leadership and remote team management skills.
• Proficient in MS Office; experience with Bluebeam Revu; CMiC a plus.
• Knowledge of contract law and project accounting.
• Understanding of PM control systems: scheduling, cost control, procurement, estimating.
• Understanding of utility-scale PV plant construction and interconnection processes.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%, including remote sites.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute and manage significant scopes of self-performed work with large labor crews.
• Develop safety plans and implement safety procedures.
• Oversee project billings and maximize cash flow; manage aged receivables.
• Present and negotiate change orders with owners.
• Negotiate subcontract and material purchases.
• Set up job procedures for buyout, shop drawings, material delivery.
• Keep project on schedule and monitor progress.
• Maintain reporting on cost forecasting and EAC.
• Manage and mentor project team.
• Review contract conditions and ensure compliance.
• Document significant events; manage preconstruction services.
• Negotiate and issue subcontract bid packages.
• Manage project risk with mitigation plans.
• Maintain quality control and SSQMP.
• Avoid or mitigate claims.
• Complete all close-out procedures.
• Conduct warranty follow-up.
• Develop relationships with Owner, Architect and Subcontractors.
• Coordinate with material suppliers for timely deliveries.
• Coordinate with local Contract Labor Provider.
• Organize and lead regular meetings with Owner and partners.
