Job summary

BSI Consulting Services is seeking an Environmental EHS Consultant to support environmental compliance, permitting, and related consulting for industrial and commercial clients. The role emphasizes client-facing work and managing multiple assignments from fieldwork to technical reporting.

Candidates should have prior environmental consulting experience, able to travel up to 50% to client sites, and collaborate across environmental, health, safety, and management systems disciplines to deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental, civil, chemical, geological, or related engineering; environmental science.
• 3–8 years of professional environmental consulting experience.
• Experience with regulated industrial or commercial clients.
• Experience preparing environmental permits, plans, reports, or compliance deliverables.
• Prior environmental consulting firm experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support environmental compliance and consulting projects for industrial and commercial clients
• Interpret and apply federal, state, and local environmental requirements to client operations
• Prepare and support environmental permit applications, plans, reports, inventories, and compliance documentation
• Conduct site visits, records reviews, and environmental compliance assessments to identify regulatory obligations, compliance gaps, and practical corrective actions
• Manage assigned projects and tasks to meet scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations
• Communicate directly with clients, regulatory agencies, and project team members as appropriate
• Collaborate with colleagues across environmental, health, safety, and management systems disciplines
• Expand capabilities in safety compliance and EHS auditing through project experience, mentoring, and training
• Solid working knowledge of environmental compliance requirements in air, water, stormwater, wastewater, spill prevention, hazardous waste, solid waste, chemical reporting, and hazardous materials management
• Ability to research regulatory requirements and translate them into practical, site-specific recommendations
• Ability to plan field activities, organize information, and develop technically sound written deliverables
• Strong technical writing, verbal communication, and client service skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with project managers and multidisciplinary teams
• Willingness to learn additional environmental, safety, and auditing disciplines
