Job summary

BSI Consulting Services is seeking an experienced Environmental Consultant to support industrial and commercial clients with environmental compliance, permitting, and related services. The role involves fieldwork, reporting, and translating complex regulations into actionable site-specific recommendations.

The ideal candidate has 3–8 years of professional environmental consulting experience, a relevant bachelor’s degree, and is comfortable traveling up to 50% to client sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental, civil, chemical, geological, or related engineering; environmental science
• Three to eight years of professional environmental consulting experience
• Experience preparing environmental permits, plans, reports, or compliance deliverables
• Professional experience working for an environmental consulting firm is required
• Experience with OSHA compliance, safety programs, or broader EHS consulting is preferred

Responsibilities

• Support environmental compliance and consulting projects for industrial and commercial clients
• Interpret and apply federal, state, and local environmental requirements to client operations
• Prepare and support environmental permit applications, plans, reports, inventories, and compliance documentation
• Conduct site visits, records reviews, and environmental compliance assessments to identify regulatory obligations, gaps, and corrective actions
• Manage assigned projects and tasks to meet scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations
• Communicate with clients, regulatory agencies, and project teams as appropriate
• Collaborate with colleagues across environmental, health, safety, and management systems disciplines
• Expand capabilities in safety compliance and EHS auditing through project experience and training
