Job summary

J.S. Held is seeking an Environmental Consultant to oversee due diligence investigations and remediation projects in New Jersey. You will coordinate with clients and manage field activities under PM/LSRP guidance, producing Phase I ESAs and technical documents.

The role emphasizes strong communication, data evaluation, and adherence to project goals, with flexibility for field work and remote support as needed.

Qualifications

• 4-year college degree in geology, biology, environmental science or similar science degree.
• 3+ years of due diligence experience and performing investigation and remediation activities in NJ.

Responsibilities

• Work approximately 60% of the time in the office preparing reports and related remedial documents.
• Remainder of time spent on due diligence inspections and overseeing field investigation and remediation activities.
• Work under the direction of a Project Manager/LSRP to advance due diligence activities and design remedial activities.
• Provide sound technical recommendations to Project Manager/LSRP.
• Prepare Phase I ESAs and technical reports including NJDEP PAR, SIR, RIR, RAW, RAR and permit applications.
• Develop and maintain client relationships and coordinate with subcontractors.
