Job summary

J.S. Held is seeking an Environmental Consultant to lead due diligence investigations and remediation activities, primarily in New Jersey. The role includes coordinating fieldwork, preparing Phase I ESAs and technical documents under PM guidance, and supporting client relations.

The position is full-time and hybrid, with office report writing and field oversight. Ideal candidates bring a geology/environmental science background, ASTM Phase I ESA knowledge, and strong communication skills, plus

Qualifications

• Requires 4-year college degree in geology, biology, environmental science or similar and 3+ years of due diligence experience in NJ.
• Well versed in ASTM Phase I ESA Standards and NJDEP guidance.
• Experience with due diligence requirements for commercial/industrial properties.
• Strong written and verbal communication; attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Phase I ESAs and technical reports under supervision.
• Coordinate field activities and data evaluation.
• Develop and maintain client relationships; coordinate with subcontractors.
• Work ~60% in office drafting reports; remaining time in field activities.
• Support Project Managers/LSRPs in technical meetings with clients and NJDEP.
