You will be the first point of contact for customers, answering questions in real time through live chat, solving problems, and leaving people happier than when they arrived. The position emphasizes clear written communication, patience, and independent work from a home office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college is a plus.
• Six months or more of customer service, retail, or related experience preferred.
• Excellent written communication skills with strong grammar and spelling.
• Typing speed of 40 words per minute or higher with good accuracy.
• Comfortable using computers, chat platforms, and web-based software.
• Ability to multitask and stay calm in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable high-speed internet and a quiet, dedicated home workspace.
• Ability to work a scheduled shift, including some evenings or weekends as needed.
• Austin, Texas area residency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer inquiries through live chat promptly and professionally.
• Handle multiple chat conversations at once with accuracy.
• Troubleshoot common product, account, and billing issues and guide customers to resolutions.
• Use the knowledge base and internal tools to find accurate answers quickly.
• Document every customer interaction clearly in the CRM system.
• Escalate complex issues to the appropriate team with full context.
• Identify recurring issues and share feedback with the support team.
• Meet or exceed targets for response time, customer satisfaction, and quality.
• Follow company policies and protect customer privacy and data at all times.
