Job summary

Jack Henry is seeking a Senior Manager, Observability Engineering to define and execute the enterprise observability strategy across a hybrid cloud footprint. You will lead a high-performing team focused on full-stack visibility, telemetry instrumentation, and proactive insights during modernization efforts.

You’ll collaborate with senior leaders to drive IaC-driven pipelines, OpenTelemetry adoption, and SLIs/SLOs, while aligning with security, governance, and cost optimization across GCP/hybrid

Qualifications

• 7+ years in cloud/hybrid datacenter operations or platform engineering.
• 4+ years in direct people management of engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Define enterprise observability vision and roadmap.
• Lead the adoption of a unified telemetry ecosystem across multi-cloud environments.
• Mentor senior engineers and build a high-performing team culture.
• Oversee OpenTelemetry-native instrumentation and tooling.
• Manage vendor relationships, licensing and telemetry spend.
