Job summary

Jack Henry & Associates, Inc. seeks a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to drive modernization across a large-scale multi-cloud and co-location footprint.

You will architect, migrate, and optimize on-prem workloads into Google Cloud Platform (GCP) while enforcing SRE principles and IaC-driven practices. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, implement automated, self-healing systems, and define meaningful SLOs/SLIs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of experience in cloud and hybrid datacenter operations.
• Proficiency with GCP (preferred), AWS, and/or Azure.
• Proficient in using GitOps, Terraform and Ansible in a CI/CD pipeline.
• Experience using PowerShell, Python, or GoLang.
• Solid understanding of Linux (POSIX) and Windows System administration as well as networking.
• Understanding of security best practices and compliance standards such as CIS, NIST and PCI.
• Ability to participate in an on-call rotation every 7-8 weeks.

Responsibilities

• Drive reliability and performance of public cloud and internal server infrastructure.
• Design and implement robust SRE practices including defining SLOs and SLIs.
• Eliminate manual toil through automation across hybrid data centers.
• Treat cloud/on-prem as code using IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible, GitHub).
• Design and maintain configuration management processes for consistency and desired state.
• Establish monitoring and alerting systems for deep visibility and self-healing capabilities.
• Lead post-mortems and RCAs for major incidents to improve reliability.
• Automate security remediation to ensure timely vulnerability mitigation and compliance.
