Job summary

Rocket Software in the United States seeks a Senior Enterprise Engagement Manager to lead end-to-end mainframe modernization engagements. This role operates with high independence within Enterprise Services, ensuring scope, schedule and budget are maintained while guiding other project managers.

Responsibilities include planning, migration, cutover, stabilization and handover, along with governance artifacts and client communications.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience delivering technology projects, including vendor/consulting delivery to external customers.
• Proven ownership of engagements end to end with accountability for scope, schedule, cost and quality.
• Experience delivering software implementation or systems integration in complex environments.
• Experience with Fixed Price and Time & Materials delivery models and related governance.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and execute mainframe modernization engagements end to end with autonomy.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, quality and risk across multiple workstreams.
• Facilitate regular status meetings and communicate progress to stakeholders.
• Produce delivery-ready reporting, logs and documentation for customers and executives.
• Contribute to delivery methodology, templates and PMO tooling across Enterprise Services.
• Coach and review less experienced project managers on shared engagements.
