Job summary

Makai Labs, LLC. is seeking a Project Manager to own delivery of AI-powered client and platform projects.

You will partner with a Product Owner to determine what gets built while you own how and when it is delivered, coordinating with engineers, designers, product, client services, and stakeholders to keep projects on schedule and within budget. This role focuses on post-meeting follow-through: ensuring actions, decisions, and risks have owners and are closed, with meticulous documentation and

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience, including client-facing software or technology projects.
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex, cross-functional projects.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including presenting project status to client executives.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with Jira, Asana, Slack, and Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and completion of several key client and platform projects.
• Agree on project scope, goals, and resourcing against the SOW, and maintain plans and milestones.
• Facilitate cross-functional coordination to ensure project success.
• Provide clear documentation, reporting, and communication to client stakeholders.
• Own follow-through after meetings: track action items and close dependencies.
• Maintain a risk and issue log, flag risks early with proposed paths forward.
• Run client meetings and internal check-ins with clear owners, due dates, and next steps.
• Coordinate rollout and user adoption, including handoff to production support.
• Track budget against the SOW and support change orders.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and leverage AI tools where possible.
