Makai Labs is hiring a Project Manager to own delivery of AI-powered client and platform projects. You’ll partner with engineers, designers, product, and client services to keep initiatives on schedule and within budget, ensuring every decision is owned and followed up until closure.

We seek a meticulous, results-oriented PM who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment and can drive projects forward with minimal supervision, emphasizing risk management and stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience on client-facing software or technology projects.
• Proven track record of delivering complex, cross-functional initiatives.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management, including presenting status to executives.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with SaaS, AI, or ML projects or technical implementations.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, and completion of key client and platform projects.
• Build and maintain project plans, timelines, and milestones.
• Coordinate cross-functional work across internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintain a risk and issue log, flag risks early with proposed solutions.
• Run client meetings with clear owners, due dates, and next steps.
• Coordinate rollout and user adoption, including handoff to production support.
• Track budget and change orders, flag scope changes early.
• Identify process improvements and leverage AI tools to automate tasks.
