Job summary
Thrivent is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a team of platform and software engineers, owning the vision for the Internal Developer Platform (IDP) and developer experience initiatives. You will partner with engineers, architects, and product leaders to minimize friction and accelerate delivery at scale.

Qualifications
- Strong understanding of modern software engineering practices, platform engineering, IDPs, and developer experience at enterprise scale.
- Experience implementing golden paths, paved roads, self-service engineering capabilities, and productivity tooling.
- Experience defining platform success metrics (adoption, satisfaction, deployment efficiency, lead time, friction reduction).
- Experience in developer productivity improvements through platform engineering and product thinking.
- 8+ years in software engineering with focus on developer productivity and platform capabilities.
- 3+ years of leadership driving technical strategy and execution.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership for Thrivent's Engineering Productivity ecosystem and IDP.
- Define and drive the roadmap for the Internal Developer Platform across engineering teams.
- Lead self-service engineering capabilities to streamline the development lifecycle and reduce friction.
- Own platform health, reliability, security, scalability, and governance across enterprise-scale solutions.
