Job summary

Priority Commerce is seeking a Manager of Engineering - MXC to lead one or more teams within Boarding & Maintenance. You will own hiring, coaching, and delivering high-quality software with a focus on reliability and scalable processes.

The role requires 7+ years of experience including people leadership, strong Node.js/TypeScript expertise, and the ability to collaborate with product and design teams. Remote US-based with a full-time commitment.

Qualifications

• Experience managing engineers full time.
• Strong technical depth in Node.js/TypeScript.
• Familiarity with observability tooling (Datadog or similar).
• Experience partnering with senior technical leaders (Staff+).
• Nice to have: FinTech/payments domain knowledge and PCI DSS familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Lead one or more MX Teams within Boarding & Maintenance, delivering with accountability.
• Own hiring, coaching, performance management, and team standards.
• Ensure SLO coverage, deployment cadence, and humane on-call practices.
• Collaborate with Product and Design to align roadmaps with business outcomes.
