DoorDash is seeking an Engineering Manager, Proactive Security to shape and lead the technical direction for Security Product Engineering on a global scale. The role centers on proactive security controls integrated into consumer, merchant, and dasher products, reporting to the Director of Security Engineering.

This US-remote position emphasizes hands-on leadership and cross-functional collaboration. You will drive the vision for security pods, mentor engineers, and coordinate with Product,

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience as a Security Product Engineer at an Internet scale organization with 3+ years of leadership.
• Track record of shifting the industry in how Internet scale companies deliver security products.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Security Engineering, or related field.
• Demonstrated leadership in Account Security, Product Security Engineering, AI Security across B2C, B2B, and B2Vendor security controls.
• Demonstrated leadership designing security engineering controls to meet regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrated leadership in AI-enabled, ergonomic Security Review processes.
• Strong problem solving for complex, systemic issues with audacious thinking and rigor.
• Excellent verbal and written communication to lead globally and influence stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Set and execute the technical vision for Security Product Engineering Pods, Bug Bounty and Vulnerability Management.
• Lead the overall Security Product Engineering and roadmap execution.
• Coach and mentor engineers as a player-coach to address security problems at the lowest level.
• Partner with Product, Legal, Security Engineering Platform, Data teams and cross-functional teams to implement secure-by-design practices.
• Lead cross-brand Bug Bounty, Penetration Testing and Vulnerability Management programs.
• Build and maintain high Operational Excellence security services to minimize downtime.
• Influence secure adoption of AI tools from a Proactive Security perspective.
