DoorDash is seeking a Senior Security Engineer, Proactive Security - Platform, to design, implement and harden secure paths for privileged access, secrets management and identity across DoorDash’s infrastructure. The role emphasizes self-service tooling, just‑in‑time access, and secure-by-default platform services.

You’ll work with Global Security Engineering Platform to build and operate tier-0 services, participate in on-call rotations, and partner with multiple engineering teams across

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience as a Security, Infrastructure or Platform Engineer at an internet scale organization.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Security Engineering, a related field or equivalent work experience.
• Strong software engineering skills in one or more object oriented languages (e.g. Go, Java, Kotlin).
• Hands‑on experience with access management and secret storage systems (PAM, secrets management, key management).
• Knowledge of OIDC, SAML, mTLS and workload identity (SPIFFE, AWS IAM Roles, GCP Workload Identity).
• Experience with Kubernetes, Terraform and cloud IAM (AWS/GCP).
• Experience with threat modeling, security design reviews and incident root-cause analysis.

Responsabilités

• Design and harden secure paths for privileged access, secrets management and identity on top of access and secret storage platforms.
• Threat model, security review and test tier-0 services and drive remediation.
• Build self-service tooling, SDKs and Terraform modules for just-in-time access and short-lived credentials.
• Migrate away from long‑lived credentials and standing access at the platform level.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure, Compute, Data and product teams to integrate paths into Kubernetes, CI/CD, AWS and GCP.
• Participate in follow-the-sun on-call rotation for tier-0 security services and incident response.
