Job summary

Uptime Crew is hiring an Engineering Manager focused on coaching and mentoring across Capstone Projects and multiple teams of Consultants in Training. The EM guides technical strategy, reviews architectures, and ensures delivery quality while aligning with client goals.

You will enable a culture of transparency and continuous growth, balance project demands with strategic outcomes, and stay engaged with the tech stack to provide constructive feedback.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of professional technical experience developing and operating software in Java, Python, Javascript, or DevSecOps.
• 3+ years of experience managing multi-functional full-stack teams; mentoring and guidance.
• Attention to detail and passion for quality; experience architecting and developing customer-facing software.
• Experience thriving in a dynamic environment with changing goals and requirements.
• Strong communication and collaboration across product requirements, UX, system architecture, APIs, and schedules.
• Deep understanding of software development lifecycle, methodologies and best practices.
• Familiarity with Agile SDLC best practices.
• Strong architecture sense; experience developing frameworks and APIs.
• Commitment to continuous self-improvement and leadership by example.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach multiple teams of software engineers; communicate vision and progress to stakeholders.
• Enable Consultants to represent client cultures of transparency, trust, collaboration and empowerment.
• Provide guidance, training, and best practices; build a culture focused on quality and agility.
• Mentor Consultants in training to improve technical proficiency and maintain high standards.
• Lead planning and execution; prioritize work across teams and meet milestones.
• Translate requirements into design patterns and robust system solutions.
• Drive improvements in engineering practices and delivery processes.
• Collaborate with product owners to develop and deliver new services and features.
• Oversee recruitment and delivery pipelines; ensure quality and timely delivery.
