Grafana Labs is hiring an Engineering Manager for the Ingest team on a fully remote, open-source observability platform serving 10,000+ organizations. The role leads backend and frontend engineers across distributed teams, guiding Fleet Management, the Kubernetes Monitoring Helm Chart, and the Instrumentation Hub from ideation to delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience managing software engineers across distributed, remote-first teams.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Helm, and cloud-native deployment patterns.
• Comfort working across the project lifecycle with product, engineering, and go-to-market stakeholders.
• Track record of fostering inclusive, high-trust engineering cultures.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a distributed team of backend and frontend engineers, providing feedback and supporting growth through regular career conversations.
• Partner with go-to-market teams to help customers and prospects succeed with their observability collection journey.
• Collaborate with product and engineering leadership to keep Fleet Management, the Helm Chart, and the Instrumentation Hub coherent within the broader platform experience.
• Guide the team from ideation through planning, execution, and post-launch, ensuring consistent delivery quality.
• Foster a psychologically safe environment that encourages experimentation, learning, and continuous improvement.
• Contribute across team boundaries and partner with other functions to solve customer problems.
