Job summary

Axon is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a squad of NIBRS and compliance engineers. You will own the technical direction, mentor engineers, and partner with R&D and Product Enablement to implement national/state reporting needs.

You will travel up to 25% to Axon hubs and sites, report to Senior Director, Productivity, and drive scalable, high-quality delivery across production systems while ensuring CJIS compliance and data security.

Qualifications

• Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder programs spanning product, engineering, and external agencies.
• managerial experience in building and growing teams.
• Effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with production systems; familiarity with TypeScript/JavaScript and Python.
• NIBRS/UCR or other compliance reporting experience preferred.
• Must pass a CJIS background check and handle sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Lead a squad of NIBRS and compliance engineers and coach the team.
• Own NIBRS submission, validation frameworks, and state-specific implementations.
• Identify challenges and propose solutions with leadership and stakeholders.
• Define and improve team operations, planning, reviews, and deployment processes.
• Manage resource allocation, delivery, and team performance.
• Mentor engineers and grow the team as scope expands.
• Partner with R&D and Product Enablement to implement requirements.
• Translate vision into a sequenced roadmap with leadership.
