Job summary

Axon Enterprise is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the NIBRS and Compliance engineering team. You will guide a squad of engineers, ensure real-time validation, and support state and federal reporting requirements across Axon's public safety platforms.

You will mentor a team, define certification paths, and drive high-quality, scalable engineering solutions in a predominantly remote role with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder programs end-to-end.
• Managerial experience in developing high-performing teams.
• Excellent communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• CJIS background check and handling confidential information required.

Responsibilities

• Lead a squad of NIBRS and compliance engineers; coach and make tradeoffs.
• Own submission/validation frameworks and state-specific implementations.
• Identify challenges and seek feedback from leadership and stakeholders.
• Improve team operations: planning, reviews, deployment at scale.
• Allocate resources, deliver, and monitor team performance.
• Mentor engineers; set expectations and grow the team.
• Collaborate with R&D/Product Enablement for nationwide/state requirements.
• Define roadmap and translate vision into sequenced plans.
