Job summary

CRIO is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead day-to-day development operations across multiple teams. Reporting to the VP of Engineering, you will ensure smooth execution, technical excellence, and healthy teams while shipping high-quality software.

You will drive cross-team collaboration, unblock blockers, and manage sprint rhythm, with a focus on growth and performance. This fully remote role is open to candidates anywhere in the United States.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software engineering with 2+ years in engineering management.
• Strong technical background to engage in architectural discussions.
• Proven track record of establishing development processes and scaling teams.
• Experience building and developing high-performing teams and mentoring engineers.
• Excellent communication and leadership to guide cross-functional partners.

Responsibilities

• Translate strategic vision into tactical execution across multiple teams.
• Manage the rhythm of development: sprint planning, standups, retrospectives, delivery.
• Lead quarterly planning to align engineering with business objectives and build team roadmaps.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide actionable feedback to drive growth.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and engineering excellence.
• Coordinate with product, design, and other departments to align priorities.
