Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 9+ years of software-engineering experience, including at least 2 years in an Engineering Manager or similar leadership role.
• Experience managing remote or geographically distributed development teams.
• Strong technical experience in at least two of the following technologies, with the ability to oversee solutions across the others: C# and .NET, Java and related frameworks, Ruby and Ruby on Rails.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of full-stack developers, quality engineers, DevOps engineers, and technical leads.
• Manage the complete software-development lifecycle, including planning, design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Own sprint planning, delivery commitments, resource allocation, and engineering execution.
• Provide technical direction for applications and services developed using C#, .NET, Java, Ruby, and modern web technologies.
• Guide the design of scalable, secure, cloud-native applications hosted on AWS.
• Review system architecture, technical designs, and complex code changes.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, business stakeholders, and customer-facing teams to translate requirements into executable technical plans.
• Identify delivery risks, dependencies, and technical debt, and develop appropriate mitigation plans.
• Improve development velocity, product quality, platform reliability, and release predictability using measurable engineering metrics.
• Promote automated testing, CI/CD, observability, and DevOps best practices.
• Manage production issues and ensure timely root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Conduct performance reviews, provide regular feedback, support career development, and participate in hiring and team-building activities.
• Communicate engineering progress, risks, decisions, and outcomes clearly to U.S.-based stakeholders.
• Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous learning, and engineering excellence.
