United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Technical Engineering Manager to lead a distributed team in building and operating large-scale distributed systems. You will oversee the Geo product, responsible for tenant-to-tenant replication necessary for disaster recovery.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing engineering teams and ensuring operational excellence. The role supports remote work with a focus on building high-performant cultures.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in large-scale distributed systems.
• Experience in operational excellence at 99.99% SLO.
• Experience leveraging AI to boost team productivity.

Responsibilities

• Lead the roadmap for the Geo product serving Self‑Managed customers.
• Hire and develop a high‑performing engineering team.
• Own the reliability and performance of Geo replication.
• Deliver bug fixes and new capabilities to the Geo codebase.
• Build and maintain runbooks and guardrails.
• Define and report on delivery and operational metrics.
• Participate in the Incident Management on‑call rotation.
