Job summary

Bitwarden is seeking an Engineering Manager for the Autofill team, leading engineers responsible for browser autofill, form detection, and the inline and context menus within the browser extension. You will guide technical strategy while ensuring security and reliability for millions of users.

You will own backlog health, set measurable goals, and collaborate with Design, Product, and Architecture to deliver high-impact features.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading engineering teams with hands-on involvement in front-end platform initiatives.
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across Design, Product, and Architecture.
• Empathy and advocacy for engineers and customers.
• Analytical skills to measure success and drive improvements.
• Ability to engage with engineers across browser extensions and native desktop domains.
• Familiarity with TypeScript/JavaScript and Rust; hands-on development a plus.

Responsibilities

• Hire, develop, and retain a strong team of engineers.
• Set and report on measurable goals and objectives.
• Facilitate team ceremonies including weekly syncs, backlog refinements, retrospectives, and sprint planning.
• Own escalation and triage for production issues and customer escalations related to autofill behavior.
• Maintain a healthy backlog and ensure items are well-defined with clear designs prior to refinement.
• Collaborate with Design, Product, Architecture, and other teams to align priorities.
• Spearhead cross-functional collaboration and improve team processes and developer experience.
• Provide growth opportunities through regular 1:1s and performance reviews.
