Job summary

Zero Hash is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to architect and build a distributed, client-side automation engine for its open banking platform. You will tackle browser internals, secure data interception, and multi-step authentication flows with Chrome MV3 extensions and WKWebView integration.

You will mentor engineers while shaping a scalable, secure infrastructure that bridges traditional finance data with digital assets, across browser and mobile runtimes.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, focused on advanced web automation, browser internals, extension development, or complex frontend-to-backend data extraction.
• Deep proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript with DOM manipulation and modern web APIs.
• Strong backend experience with Golang (or Node.js/Python) to design WebSocket hubs and infra.
• Solid security fundamentals: secure message passing, authentication handshakes, and preventing DOM-based injections.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build the core automation runtime with resilient UI interactions and robust session routing.
• Design secure network interception layers to capture and parse financial data streams beyond UI elements.
• Develop high-performance protocols connecting client-side agents to a centralized backend routing hub.
• Build solutions for multi-step authentication flows, bridging background automation with user prompts.
• Navigate browser and webview security sandboxes and execution boundaries.
• Introduce engineering patterns that scale and adapt to dynamic web environments.
• Mentor senior and mid-level engineers to achieve technical excellence.
