Job summary

Bitwarden, the leader in password and identity security, seeks a Senior II Software Engineer for its Auth team. This all-remote role targets candidates in the U.S. with strong Rust and Angular skills, experience with WASM/UNIFFI, and deep knowledge of OAuth, OIDC, and WebAuthn.

Qualifications

• Strong Rust and Angular development experience.
• Experience integrating Rust into multiple clients using WASM and UNIFFI.
• Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OIDC, and WebAuthn is essential.
• Excellent technical writing and clear communication of complex problems.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain authentication code in the Rust core, Angular clients, and IdentityServer backend.
• Collaborate across teams to design, document, and communicate future solutions.
• Provide timely and thoughtful code reviews and triage bugs reported by users.
• Update core dependencies to maintain a secure, stable supply chain.
• Participate in interview process and team discussions to share knowledge.
