Socket.dev is seeking an Engineering Manager - Analytics House to lead a global R&D team. This role is remote with hands-on coding and architectural influence, guiding delivery and team growth across cloud-based analytics platforms.

You will mentor engineers, drive architectural design, and partner with product and data teams to align strategy with business goals while maintaining high quality and velocity.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of engineering experience with 4+ years in engineering management roles where you actively coded.
• Hands-on experience building cloud-based SaaS products and managing availability, cost, and customer-facing surface.
• API-first mindset; products must be usable via APIs in addition to UI.
• Strong background in databases, SQL, and BigQuery.
• Track record of transforming engineering teams through delivery velocity and quality.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on leadership and code review, guiding engineering decisions.
• Drive architectural design and technical decisions with senior ICs.
• Maintain engineering standards and a healthy release process.
• Lead and grow the team, hire, coach, and set performance expectations.
• Collaborate with Product and Design to align roadmaps with business goals.
