Job summary

Precisely is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead an internationally dispersed team of senior engineers delivering shared platform services and AI capabilities for a SaaS business. This player‑coach role combines hands‑on technical leadership with career development, and ownership of FedRAMP responsibilities in coordination with Platform Engineering and Security.

The role requires 7+ years in software development, strong SaaS and cloud‑native experience, and expertise in AI‑driven development

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
7+ years of software development, including 5+ years as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer and 2+ years in technical leadership.
Demonstrated success in a player‑coach leadership role within SaaS or platform engineering environments.
Experience managing internationally dispersed teams via 1:1s, performance reviews, and development plans.
Strong background in SaaS foundation/platform engineering, cloud‑native architecture, distributed systems, and platform reliability.
Experience with AI‑driven software development practices and AI tooling.
Experience with Python, TypeScript, or Golang.
Experience in FedRAMP‑compliant environments with security/compliance coordination.
U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency due to FedRAMP/Government Cloud access requirements.
Willingness to travel as needed.
Strong partnership with Product Management for roadmap alignment.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and grow a globally distributed team of senior engineers, including performance reviews and development plans, while contributing to architecture.
Build and scale common SaaS platform services (APIs, identity, orchestration, reliability, developer enablement).
Define and deliver core AI capabilities in production SaaS environments, including model integration and observability.
Set AI tooling standards and drive AI‑first development practices across the team.
Collaborate with Product Managers to shape vision, define roadmaps, and align technical strategy with business outcomes.
Drive cross‑team alignment, technical standards, and delivery excellence across platform and product engineering.
Coordinate management of Foundation FedRAMP services with Platform Engineering, Security, and compliance stakeholders.
